SPOTLIGHT ON: VIKING SUN

Viking cruises has made it’s first trip to New Zealand with Viking Sun paying Auckland a┬ávisit recently and Zuleika was lucky enough to be one of the first Travel Agents to get to check out the ship.

Zuleika will give us her thoughts on the ship and include some photos from the ship.

Viking Sun

(My new favourite ship)

What a fantastic ship. Modern. Clean. Calm and very stylish

It is small ship cruising at it’s best with a maximum of 930 passengers

Built in 2017 and Viking Sun is an all Balcony & Suite ship

Adults only with the passengers comfort in mind

This would have to be one of my favourite spots on the ship, I love relaxing watching the wake of the ship while cruising and Viking steps it up a notch on their ocean vessels by having an infinity pool at the aft of the ship so you can relax in the pool or spa and watch the world sail by…..

Viking Cruises really have thought of everything when it comes to their cruise ships, no additional charges for specialty dining, beer and wine with lunch and dinner included, no casinos and an excursion included in every port.

There are many different spaces on board for you to relax, by the pool mid-ship, or the aft infinity pool, the Explorers bar where you can use the telescope to check out the sights, the Wintergarden for a nice afternoon tea, or even The Lounge Room where you can check your emails, check out the book exchange or listen to some live music.

If total relaxation is what you are after the Thermal Suite is definitely the place to be and included in your cruise fare.

There are warm stone beds, a hot sauna room, a cold snow room and an ice bucket splash!!!

Or you can just sit back and relax in the hydrotherapy pool.

If you have any questions about Viking Sun or Viking Cruises give us a call, there are additional photos on our FB page of my visit on the ship.
