Catch Up on Cruising: Latest News in bite size!

Ahoy Fellow Cruisers

I hope you have had a great couple of weeks. With all the snow arriving overnight and winter not quite releasing it’s grip, now would be a great time to think about a last minute cruise to somewhere warm! With the school holidays coming up why not think about a South Pacific cruise out of Australia.

P & O Cruises

With Pacific Eden leaving the P & O fleet in March 2019, P & O have made the decision to also sell Pacific Jewel. Her last cruise departs February 2019. With the departure of these two ships, it makes way for the planned transformation of the P & O brand. Grand Princess and Star Princess will be moving to the P & O fleet with the two Grand class ships becoming part of the family by 2021. This means that Pacific Aria will be sailing out of Auckland next year between April and August 2019. This is great news as Pacific Aria is a newer and better quality ship. The Aria had been part of Holland America before she moved over to P & O and she has kept a lot of the finer touches of a Holland America ship. There is a album on the Cruise Factor Facebook page for Pacific Aria that you can check out.

APT

When you think Croatian cruises APT is not a company that springs to mind. But with the Queen Eleganza it probably should be. This ship has been purpose built for the Adriatic, it is a small ship with only 18 cabins and 34 passengers total. There are twin and double configurations and one single cabin. This is a boutique small ship which offers an informal style of cruising but luxurious enough to offer an impeccable atmosphere and service and fine dining. Being a small ship the Eleganza can cruise into ports that other cruise ships could only dream of and with a short amount of sailing during the day, this ensures passengers won’t miss the spectacular coastline and then longer days and overnighting in each port means you get to experience the fantastic nightlife of Croatia. If complete relaxation is what you want there are sundecks to lounge on and when you feel like taking a dip you can just swim off the back of the ship. If Croatia is a dream, Queen Eleganza can make it a sensational reality. Contact us now for itineraries and availability for 2020 as 2019 has already sold out!!

Celebrity MoveUp

Coming soon in 2018 is the Celebrity Move up programme. For those guests that are booked on a Celebrity Cruise you may receive an invitation from Celebrity to bid for a stateroom upgrade to a higher category in a few simple clicks! The program will be available on selected international sailings. Make sure you complete your online check in when you book as the offer will be emailed to the first named passenger on the booking. You can offer any amount for an upgrade and if accepted this amount will be charged to the first two passengers in the cabin. If successful your new cabin will be on a guarantee basis, so will be an upgraded cabin type but could be anywhere on the ship. The upgrade will not include any additional promotions but will include promotions that were applied at booking. If you receive an upgrade offer and are not too sure if you should take it, just give us a call and we can discuss the options with you.
