Vanessa from Cruise Factor was lucky enough to go onboard the Majestic Princess in Auckland on Tuesday and she did not disappoint and neither did the weather.
Majestic Princess had her maiden voyage in 2017 and accommodates 3560 passengers. She has 19 decks and stands 224 feet and looked magnificent in the Auckland Harbour.
Auckland was pumping with overseas visitors and everyone that I spoke too had an amazing time cruising onboard her.
We made our way to the Piazza which is the centre of the ship where we were buzzing with excitement. Lots of beautiful glass pieces that shimmered and made it feel very open and inviting. They had violinists serenading you while you soaked up the atmosphere. The décor was tastefully decorated throughout the ship and the cabins were spacious with lots of storage. It was easy navigating your way around and there was always a sign to say where you were on the ship just in case you get lost.

Majestic Princess has many dining options to suit all tastebuds, from Le Mer a French Bistro to Crown Grill -Steakhouse to Harmony -Cantonese , Lobster and Dim Sum Bar and also Chefs Table at Lumiere. (Some at a surcharge)
They also have the Fresh Marketplace where it’s a one stop station that offers endless variety from German Grilled Sausages to French Crepes and breads and pastries with a European, Asian and Western influence. Alfredos Pizzeria, Chopsticks Noodle Bar, International Café are all included in your cruise fare. You will never go hungry!

With Plenty of entertainment onboard from Music and Dancing , Comedy Shows, Movies under the stars and the New Princess Live which gives you the chance to be part of a live television studio audience, there is always something to do throughout the day and night. Don’t miss out on the new musical Fantastic Journey which is exclusive to the Majestic Princess. If it all gets a but to much and you want a place to unwind the Hollywood Pool Club is the perfect place for Adults only and all included in your cruise fare.

If you’re not into the shows and joining in the activities onboard there was plenty of outside space and lots of loungers and bars to sit back and relax, have a cocktail or two and with a great book from the library that you can immerse yourself into and watch the world sail by. Or you can spend the day at the Lotus Spa getting pampered. They often have specials when in port so keep an eye out for those.

We managed to see some cabins before the next lot of passengers embarked. With the Majestic Princess they don’t have any ocean view cabins only inside , balconies and suites.

Overall she is a beautiful ship and I was impressed and would highly recommend booking in advance as she is selling out fast. I will be posting other photos on Facebook this week so keep a look out.
